Gila Christian Ranch

Most critical to the success of Gila Christian Ranch is the retention of Godly, dedicated staff having a heart burdened for camp ministry. We are always in need of mature volunteers from fundamental, separated Baptist churches where the Bible is preached and practiced in the old-fashioned way. Additionally, men and women from a few of our nation’s finest Bible colleges are sought to serve as youth counselors, Christians with a hard work ethic are treasured, and saints with a sacrificial, serving heart are vital. Men with maintenance and construction skills are valued, although a cheerful humility and able body are all that’s required for most cleaning and serving tasks. Note, however, camp ministry is not an 8 to 5 job. Ministry at Gila Christian Ranch requires the best one can give, 24 hours a day. Character requirements include faith, Christian love, and a commitment to prayer.

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide financial compensation. There is little we can offer beyond a beautiful wilderness setting, room and board, and the blessing of being used of God to save souls and change lives. (It happens often!) We, nonetheless, trust God to supply qualified candidates. Might you have a heart for camp ministry? Read the Doctrinal Statement and the Policies and Practices document located on this website. If you are in agreement and feel God leading you to involvement in camp ministry, please give careful, prayerful consideration to completing our Application. The revivals of yesteryear still take place at Gila Christian Ranch. If you qualify to satisfy an existing need, you can become part of a staff that facilitates the mighty working of God’s Spirit. 3. I understand that, while living expenses are provided on-site, staffing

positions at Gila Christian Ranch are unpaid and volunteer. I view my

service as a missions support effort.
4. I understand that any medical expenses incurred at Gila Christian

Ranch or associated with my stay there (other than incidental first aid)

are my personal responsibility.
5. I understand the eternal gravity and significance of this ministry and

the spiritual battle entailed. I will prepare my heart for this service unto

God and, if I am selected for this ministry, I will pray for my role and for

the success of this work during my period of service.
6. I understand that, for the protection of this ministry and its guests, Gila

Christian Ranch must make reasonable efforts to insure the moral and

spiritual integrity of its staff. I certify the following:

• I do not believe Christians should use alcoholic beverages, tobacco

products, or mind-altering nonprescription drugs. I have not

indulged in these things in the last three years, or if I have, I will

relate the incident(s) to the Ranch Manager that he may determine,

to the best of his ability, if this past misconduct presents a present,

unacceptable risk to the guests, staff and testimony of Gila

Christian Ranch.

• I do not engage in behavior which fundamental Christians would

view as immoral, impure, or violent. This includes (but is not limited
to) sexual misconduct and the viewing of pornographic material. I

do not actively feed "the lusts of the flesh" and I will disclose any

significant and/or repetitive incidence of misconduct from the last

three years to the Ranch Manager that he may determine, to the

best of his ability, if it presents an unacceptable risk to the guests,

staff and testimony of this ministry.

7. I understand that staff placement requires submittal and acceptance

of this form, as well as the availability of a position to which I can

properly be placed according to this ministry's understanding of the

will of God. Upon acceptance of a place of Christian service, I consider

this a commitment which I will fulfill unless unexpectedly and

providentially hindered. In the event that unforeseen circumstances

arise to prevent my service, I will inform the Ranch Manager

immediately and pray that God provide a suitable replacement.
